The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), a component of the National Institutes of Health, seeks to reduce the burden of mental illness and behavioral disorders through research on the mind, brain, and behavior. NIMH provides a wide range of information based on that research. Publications are available through the NIMH Web site or by calling the NIMH information center for information and to order publications.

The American Trauma Society

The American Trauma Society (ATS) is dedicated to the elimination of needless death and disability from injury. For over 40 years, ATS has served as an advocate for the trauma care system, trauma prevention programs, and the victims of trauma and their families throughout the United States. ATS’ goals are to prevent injury whenever possible, and to ensure optimal treatment of trauma when it does occur.
