The Centers for Disease Control Prevention (CDC) responds to inquiries from the general public and health care professionals on research conducted by the CDC in the areas of environmental health, infectious diseases, health promotion and education, prevention services and occupational safety and health. CDC maintains several Internet sites in Spanish and English where the general public can have immediate access to much of the agency's resources.
