Identity theft is rampant in the United States. Survivors of domestic violence must take extra precautions to protect themselves from abusers who use identity as a means of power and control. This brochure provides survivors of domestic violence with steps to take to protect their identity, including relocating, opening a post office box to receive mail, and reporting suspected fraud.
