Description

The goal of the Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF) is to end domestic violence and help women and children whose lives are devastated by abuse. Towards this goal, FVPF trains judges and police officers to respond appropriately when they are confronted with battering, and to treat it as a serious crime. The organization also works with healthcare providers across the country to educate them about how to identify and help victims of abuse and their children, and have developed a multi-faceted public education campaign to raise awareness about the problem and let people know what they can do to get involved in their communities.
